WREC Classic Boys Basketball Update
On Friday, Dec. 5, the Wells Varsity Boys fell to Pahranagat Valley, 17–28.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Leopards battled hard but came up short against White Pine, 20–34. 🏀

Our JV Boys and Girls Basketball took on the Elko Indians Freshman Teams during the WREC Classic on Thursday, December 4th.

Wells unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tonopah Muckers on Thursday. Leopards fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Muckers since Thursday.

Wells won the last time they faced Round Mountain and things went their way on Thursday too. The Leopards strolled past the Knights with points to spare, taking the game 41-22.
Despite the loss, Round Mountain still got an impressive performance from Jordan Penson, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and four steals.
The win got Wells back to even at 1-1. As for Round Mountain, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Our girls wrestling team traveled to Utah to compete in the F.I.G.H.T. 6A All-Girls Tournament on December 5–6, an event featuring 380 talented wrestlers from across the region. The tournament was divided into JV and Varsity divisions, and our athletes represented Wells with pride and determination.

Our boys wrestling team competed in the Gauntlet, a 6A tournament in Utah, consisting of 663 wrestlers. Each weight class was broken down into 5 classifications: Varsity, JV, and Events #1-3. December 5-6.
