Next week we are excited to celebrate Reading Week, and we have several engaging activities planned for our students and families. Throughout the week, students may participate in themed dress-up days, enjoy a special visit from a guest author, and take part in a variety of literacy-focused events.
We warmly invite you to join us for our Literacy Night on March 4th at 4:00 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to rotate through interactive stations where students can decorate bookmarks, create their own storybooks, and practice reading skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Each student will also receive a literacy “swag” bag that includes books, bookmarks, and a family activity guide with ideas to support reading at home. We look forward to celebrating the joy of reading with you!

Two-Hour Delay for Carlin, Elko and Spring Creek Schools
2/18/26 Two Hour Delays
Due to overnight snow accumulations and windy weather conditions, there will be a two-hour delayed start at CARLIN, ELKO, and SPRING CREEK schools today, Wednesday, February 18. Classes will begin two hours later than their typical start time, and bus pick ups will run exactly two hours later.
Please remember to drive slowly and carefully. Students will be waiting for buses, walking to school at different times, using different routes, and may be walking in the street due to snowy sidewalks. Please help keep our students safe and look out for each other.

We addressed the mistake right away and assured everyone that there was no real threat. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to keep our school safe.
